MODUS was invited to present "What if Apple Designed Community Plans" to over 400 American Planning Association webinar participants from across the States.
Teaming with Chris Haller from Urban Interactive Studio and Brad Barnett at Place Matters, we prepared a lively presentation on "Participant Experience Design: New Communication Strategies to make Public Engagement more Effective."
Based on findings from a workshop that Vince and Daniella gave at the Canadian Institute of Planner's 2013 conference, Infuse, we set the stage by summarizing strong engagement and techniques to combine face-to-face input with online tools. By showing how we can build on and amplify conventional engagement methods and tools, we showed how the planner's role is expanding due to changing technology and increase demands for public involvement.
